Twisted Nose Watercress Gin
A finely balanced dry gin handcrafter at the Winchester Distillery in Hampshire using pure grain spirit and a careful selection of ten botanicals precisely distilled in small batches using their traditional pot still.
The gin takes its name from one of it’s ingredients-watercress-known in Latin as Nasturtium, literally meaning “Twisted Nose”. This adds fresh herbacious notes and a light peppery sparkle for a wonderfully bright and refreshing gin.
Intense but smooth, Twisted Nose is not a gin to be sniffed at.
About Winchester Distillery
Winchester is at the heart of an area that has been cultivating Watercress since the 18th century – the local chalky earth and pristine, crystal-clear streams create the ideal environment for this incredible herb to thrive.
The Romans knew watercress as Nasturtium, meaning ‘twisted nose’, from which their range of unique spirits take their name.
Nestling at the western end of the South Downs Way and surrounded by rolling countryside and meandering chalk streams lies Winchester, an ancient city rich in history and steeped in tradition.
At the Winchester Distillery they seek to enrich this heritage by crafting small-batch, premium spirits using traditional methods and local botanicals sourced from the surrounding landscape.
All of the products are made by hand in small batches using our closely-guarded recipes as a guide and the master distiller’s twisted nose to fine-tune each batch to perfection.
